When it’s hot, demand on our water supply increases. This can lead to low water pressure for some customers, including those in Marong.

If you live in the area, please be mindful of your water use this Summer. Peak water use is between 6pm and 10pm on hot days.

Reducing water use during peak times will ensure there is enough water for all customers, including the elderly and vulnerable community members.

We are aware that some air conditioners and other water appliances won’t work if the water pressure is too low. You can help by setting automatic watering systems and your washing machine or dishwasher to run after 10pm.

We know this is frustrating. That’s why we’re investing in a long-term solution.

The Maiden Gully to Marong Pipeline will increase the capacity, reliability and efficiency of our water network in the west of Bendigo. The first section of pipeline has been laid, with five more sections to go.
