The final stage of upgrade and repair works on the Elmore Water Tower is currently underway.

With the aim of maintaining a long-term, secure water supply in Elmore, this $1.1 million investment will increase storage capacity and improve water pressure for the town

Earlier phases of these works saw the construction of three 50 KL ground-level tanks and a booster pump station, as well as repair works on the tower.

This final phase of the works involves rehabilitation of the tank's internal structure and is due for completion in early 2024.

  • Timeline item 1 - complete

    Phase One

    Included extending the fence line, burying the storm water drain onsite, preparing a hard stand for ground level tank and extending the sewer to the water treatment plant. August 2021.

  • Timeline item 2 - complete

    Phase two

    This phase involved increasing the water storage capacity by building three, 50 KL ground-level tanks and a booster pump station to maintain town pressure while the elevated tank was taken offline for repair works.

  • Timeline item 3 - active

    Phase Three

    The final stage of the Elmore Water Tower rectification project is underway and involves rehabilitation of the tank's internal structure. This work is due for completion in early 2024.
