More than 150 native trees planted

17 October 2024

We planted more than 150 native trees in early October 2024 at our Castlemaine Water Reclamation Plant, near Langslow Street. This was a mix of shrubs and plants which will provide more greenery and help to screen the plant site.

We’re excited to keep improving the natural environment which surrounds our site. Thanks to BushCo for their help to make this happen.

This project is also part of early site works as we prepare for major upgrades to the plant in coming years. Climate change, aging infrastructure and a growing population mean our plant requires vital upgrades to keep pace with demand. When complete, the plant will be modern, sustainable, efficient and deliver a range of environmental benefits.
