This projetc is now complete. We have spent $3.5 million to build three new sludge drying beds at the Bendigo Water Treatment Plant in Sandhurst.

Sludge drying beds are the most widely used method for sludge dewatering. Once water has been through the treatment process at the Plant, the remaining raw products are sent to the beds to dry naturally and be used as either land fill or for agricultural purposes.

The former drying beds are nearing capacity; not only will these beds cater for the growing population of Bendigo but also prepare the Plant for a drier future.
